I take pride in noticing the important questions our media neglect to ask, but I’m astonished that I’m the one pointing this out (beat only by some soft serve questions at Good Morning America).
How do we know anyone killed Osama Bin Laden?
When Saddam Hussein was captured, he was brought to justice. A point was made of executing him in public. We could SEE he was there and paying dues for his crimes.
So how did we manage to kill this guy and not cough up even a snap shot to prove it? And given the demise of Hussein, hung before our very eyes with nothing but disdain and a complete lack of dignity, it makes no sense that we suddenly have respect for the death process of another guy who killed thousands. American Military doesn’t think that way unless there is a convenience to it.
I’m certainly not saying he’s not dead. I’m just saying .. Did ya think you wouldn’t have to prove it to the people?
Rather than a simple picture, to confirm his death, the military managed to bring with them, apparently, a DNA kit, and the impressive ability to mobilize that DNA in order to compare it … to who knows what the same day. (when did they get his DNA previously?) They even had boats ready to carry the body to sea… just in case he was there to kill.
How about let’s just see the pictures?
People are dancing in the streets PURELY because US President Obama said so, and I find that a little strange. What if Bin Laden has been dead for a year and Obama is just taking credit?
This is not something conspiracy theorists should be asking about, this is stuff CNN, ABC and CTV should be insisting on access to, over and over until it’s produced.
The White House charged that releasing photos might cause unrest among the terrorists, but when did pissing them off ever concern the US?
Good Morning America made mention of a death photo perhaps helping families heal as well as providing closure that the man is in fact dead, and all they got from the White House was that they are considering releasing other info and “perhaps photos” and they do say there ARE photos.
It’s all pretty convenient, (some good word thrown in for Guantanamo Bay) we really should just believe it all … and maybe even start liking that water boarding stuff.
.. but … where’s the proof?
The last time we as a public demanded photos… it was to prove there were weapons of mass destruction. Back then the White House took their sweet time too.
And when they finally did put out some pics.. it was all faked up just for us 🙂
